It's a start, at least.
My suggestions (though they might be already in your plans):
-make jumping more natural (a simple tap on the spacebar should bring you up enough to get over 1 or 2 blocks; in this version, tapping only gets you ~0.7 blocks up);
-give that character some hair - that'll make him way more attractive =] Believe me, main characters are one of the MAIN worries when you're making a game because they're worth big points;
-replace those numbers with bars and add some decoration to make a nice GUI (I bet you already thought of this).

PoisonHeart responds:

The air-jump is a part of the game, but it might be taken out. That's a really good point in regard to the jump distance, though. The graphics are from open-source, so I don't know if I want to spend the time to make edits to give him hair, even though you have a great point.

I think bars are more fluid, also. Thank you for a great review of this little demo!

I expected the opposite ending =] This brightened my day.

hotdogtopus responds:

:) Thanks for the 5 stars.

Very nice and all (obviously I mean sober and deathful) but I still wonder how could I have got the password for the man's computer. (4 digits long). Care to help? :)

To get these answers you have to read both notes inside the study room.

It's a good concept, but the graphics, the functionality (no game over when at 0 population) , the absence of features like woodcutters and other types of building, make this game pretty boring... and the music is melancholic (sort of) , which should be replaced by some "neutral-to-happy" songs. (yes, not only one)
There is A LOT of room to improve. But making this game as it is is still an achievement! ;)

PyramidInteractive responds:

So, when you mention woodcutters, would you like to see the people actually performing work, with the ability to assign them to a tile?
I'm looking forward to developing this a lot further, thank you for the feedback!

Pretty nice! But I'm curious about that "pacifist" achievement. Some white revolving bombarders keep stationary on the Y (vertical) axis, not moving on it. That forced me to fire some shots and get points...

JauqGames responds:

Glad you are enjoying my game. Every enemy should leave on their own eventually. The achievement requires a bit of patience especially during the first two waves.

Thanks,
Jauq

Very nice!
You should incorporate some ID stuff for playing online with a specific friend. (Send your ID to your friend and play together) - Just an idea...

b9hoven responds:

I one hundred percent agree with you. Unfortunately, the game engine doesn't support online multiplayer, and I have no intention of adding to this version of the game. That said, perhaps I shall re-imagine this game in a different engine at a later date, maybe even with four players. Appreciate ya x

When I saw him rising up again... I just realised I hate this game's difficulty.

deathink responds:

hahaha

Some sort of man with fellings. And an extremely NOOB artist :]
DISCLAIMER: Any opinion or cringe I have manifested pre-2022 was by the retarded send-before-you-think younger me. PM me to change reviews that have hurt your games and stuff.
